Miranda Khan can thank Scott Grigsby for launching her career in front of the camera. Her high school classmate in Kansas City suggested she take a television course. Little did he know he set the stage for a nearly 20-year career, with appearances on the silver screen, small screen, and computer screen.
She landed her first job as a college student, creating and hosting a teen-oriented cable show. Her second job came just two weeks after graduating from the University of Kansas. KPLC in Lake Charles, Louisiana, hired Miranda to co-anchor "Sunrise," one of the country's top-rated morning shows. She spent two years waking up Louisianans, before returning to her Midwestern roots to wake up Quad Citians as the anchor on "Good Morning, Quad Cities" in Moline, Illinois. Less than a year later, the station promoted her to co-anchor its two primary newscasts at 6pm and 10pm. She also became the face for the station's investigation unit, "8 On Your Side." During that time, she won local, state, and regional awards for her anchoring and investigative reporting.
She impressed WPTV in West Palm Beach so much, they created a position for her. She co-anchored the #1 NBC 5:30pm newscast in the country, and became part of the "Cake and Khan" Contact 5 investigative unit.
Wanting a new challenge, Miranda moved from behind the anchor desk to live out her first childhood dream, as an actor, television host, & model. Now, Miranda shows women easy and fast ways to better living on "Better Living Television." She also helps you get free legal advice on wptv.com's "Ask the Attorney." And, she appeared on the national cover of 2010 Valentine's"Walmart circular."
Despite her comprehensive career, Miranda believes you never stop learning. She knows she gets as much out of every project as she puts into it.
Her primary goal continues to be working as an actor in feature films. Since leaving news she has been in over a dozen films and will be featured in the 2010 Delray Beach Film Festival.
"Miranda provides the highest quality service available and does so in an extremely professional and results-oriented manner."
